We are coming along with the inside of the Sanctuary!!! We have the goal to be worshiping in our new Sanctuary by mid August.
The walls have been painted, the speakers have been installed and the electrical work is basically completed. [ Thank you Tommy LaRose for completing these tasks!]
The rock wall was installed yesterday!!! The remaining rock will be added to the base of the platform today.
The gravel for an extended parking lot is coming Wednesday, July 17th.
The HVAC Company is to come back to finish up the last part of their work.
We have Smith’s Flooring Company coming the week of August 12th-14th to lay our carpet.
After the flooring is installed, we will move the benches in place to be used for our first service inside the new Sanctuary.
THEN … to follow with the remaining remodeling of the old sanctuary. This will definitely involve making handicap accessible restrooms, which we lack now.
For those who ask about donating, if you’ll make it noted “where” you want your donations to go, we will make sure that your donation goes to that specific fund. We keep everything separated. If someone wants to donate toward the remodeling/building fund, it goes straight to that. If someone wants to donate toward expenses of the church (utilities, ins, etc.), it goes straight to that fund. If someone wants to donate to the Community Outreach, (which basically has to do with involving comm work like Tuesday night meals, paying for young people to go to Youth Camp, keeping the school building expenses funded, the Annual Family Fall Festival, etc.), it goes straight to that fund. We definitely appreciate any amount from anyone that wants to be involved with seeing God’s work continue right here at SHM.
