Scammon Holiness Mission

BIG things are coming to our little church in Scammon. We are excited to be breaking ground tomorrow on our church extension for a larger Sancturary! These plans have been in the making for a long while with much prayer and consideration on a lot of decisions.
Rev. Bill McCormick requested his son to finish his plan for a church to be built. Ron McCormick made sure his request was fulfilled. This church has had its doors opened since its completion in 1993 —- 30 YEARS!!!!
{{{The showcased 3d figure and Bro. Bill McCormick’s Bible will remain in its original spot by the west entrance, as a memorial.}}}
The need for a bigger Sanctuary has been an issue off and on for Sunday Morning Worship. One even left instead of coming inside for fear of not having a seat due to the number of cars in the parking lot. We don’t want that to happen again. Not only that, but the newly constructed area of the current church and the added new Sanctuary will also be handicap accessible in many areas where we are lacking now.
We are very thankful to everyone who helped pray and specifically donated toward the building fund project. {{{{ A generous out of state donor sent $50,000 in December of 2021, to go toward the need of a bigger Sanctuary. The children have collected change for several years between Sunday School and Morning Worship ~ all for the Building Fund. Others have donated to this need, as well. There is another donation coming at year’s end ~ the donor thought it would help us get up and running on the project. They were right, because now we get to start! }}}}} All that to state, if a donation comes, we put it where the donor requests. (As an insert: Donations that are specifically given toward the outreach stay for the outreach purposes.).
